So, being out of work now and everything, I've decided to start splitting my tongue. I figured now would be the perfect time, since I don't have to worry about going to work and talking funny, and the Jet City Rollergirls season opening bout isn't until the end of january, so I should be healed up and ready to go by then.
I've been reading up online and decided to do the fishing line method. While most people would chastise me for not going to a professional place to do it, I decided to do it on my own for several reasons. Namely:
1. Even though it will take longer(about a month for the whole split), in my mind it is better doing it that way, where I'm in control.
2. The idea of having someone split my tongue with a scalpel freaks me right the fuck out, and I'm pretty sure that's the way the only place I've found locally does it. This ties into reason 1.
3. It's kind of a pilgrimage of sorts. From what I've read, it's extremely painful doing it with fishing line(cutting my tongue in half with fishing line HURTS?! Who would have thought!).
I've also decided to document the journey, so check back here for updates! I'll try to keep up with taking pictures and stuff too. I'll probably be grabbing the fishing line and other stuff I need(like mouth wash to keep it clean) tomorrow, and then I'll probably start on thursday or friday.

Things are looking up.
I've been absent for a while now, and not really for a reason(beyond laziness and just being so drained about the interesting things that happen in my life that I haven't felt like reliving it by typing it out(for instance, like my cat Loki dying)). But shit has been on a positive roll lately.
My friend steph came to seattle and got a job at a local coffee shop, so she moved in with me(in my tiny ass studio) until we could find a 2 bedroom for us. It's gone mostly smooth, except for the fact that I stay up pretty late, and she's more of a midnight crasher. That won't matter once we get our place though!
We went apartment searching the day after she moved in, I set up 2 appointments(2 other people told me just to show up), but the first place we looked at we knew we wanted. HUGE living room, good sized bed room, the master bedroom has it's own bathroom, and theres totally room for my future stripper pole(it's great exercise!). It's a bit over 1,100 square feet, for only 1,000 a month, and it's on upper greenwood. Not bad, I must say. We get the keys on the 13th and can move in on the 15th. We need help!
Then today I got a job doing video game testing mostly. It'll be nice having a full time job with regular hours for once. We'll see how it goes, I guess. I'm really excited, though, but sad that this job means I have to drop out of school. Hopefully it turns into something,
Did I mention I also got voted on to be the team captain of the temporary red team at the bout on august 15th? GO TEAM RED/TEAM EVIL!
Everyone else(2 other people) in this tiny studio keeps waking, so I'm gonna end this here. Things are finally looking up...

Canada bound
I'm headed to Victoria, B.C. tomorrow to play in a bout against the Eves of Destruction with the Taco Kickers. They had needed another skater to fill their roster and I jumped at the chance, and later ended up securing places for two of my fellow skaters(Krozo the Klown and Piston Vinegar).
Now if only I could motivate myself to get my bags packed. Our ferry leaves at 8:30 AM.
I made a necklace out of bearings:

It's a present for Piston. Or at least it will be, if she accepts my (derby) marriage proposal(shhhh).

So I only vaguely remember starting this blog the other night, but I'm going to run with it. I turned in my paper which ended up being 5 pages long(it only had to be 2-3 pages), so yay for over achieving I suppose.
I'm pretty awful at writing bios. I currently live by myself in a small studio house in the middle of a beautiful backyard. I have a cat who named Loki who loves to play fetch(seriously, he's a hound about it. Click the link for a video.). I'm going to school for digital film making, I had a drunken epiphany and changed my major, which had been for CNC machining. As I mentioned before, roller derby is my life source. I enjoy the occasional foray into drugs, though nowadays I don't have the time to.
I believe there is a delicate balance between the casual drug user and the addict, though society seems to lump everyone into the addict catagory and I can understand, really. We've all seen the violent crack heads on the corner or watched the news clip about someone on drugs; it's easy to assume that anyone who uses drugs is an idiotic addict determined to throw their life away.
So give responsible drug users a chance, ya?
Anyways, I've been sitting on this post for about a week. I'm just gonna let it go and post

Silly bitch
I started this blog out of boredom to get out of my writing slump(not that I am a writer) and to have a place to put my strange thoughts and derby rants(I skate with Tilted Thunder, the only banked track league in washington), and it's somewhere for me to talk about my life that isn't facebook.
I came upon the realization that I am no where near as creative when I'm not on drugs. Maybe I should fix this. I have this writing project that's kicking my ass. It's due tomorrow morning and all I can think is, man, what I wouldn't give for a line, or cap or two? I'll settle for cheap beer for now, and think about writing an interesting bio for myself tomorrow(Though it's not like anyone is going to read this anyways).
I'm watching Dr. Horribles sing a long blog and if you haven't seen it you're missing out. I'm gonna go back to drinking beer and writing this paper.
